Holy Name made their XC debut at this race, running a boys and girls
exhibition team.  Nick Huck from Central Catholic participated also.

At the sitting bench WYO was 1-2-3; Joel Moceri was 50 yards in front of Joel
Goodling and Jeff Muir who were running shoulder to shoulder.  Then there
were 3 Exeter runners, Shawn Goodling, Alex Anthony of SV, Jon Clouser and
Paul Stoltzfus.  Paul Stoltzfus was suffering from tendonitis in the ankle
and kept dropping back, while others moved forward. There were no gaps in the
race at the sitting bench except between Joel Moceri and everyone else. At
Ruth's Bridge WYO was still 1-2-3.  Exeter made their moves on the final hill
heading up to the school, but Wyo held on for a close win.

Wyo came charging up the first hill with Janna Sallade, Jess Geissler, Amy
Huss, Debbie Huss, EX, Erin Flannery, Jess Johnson, EX, EX, EX, Erin Crider,
SV, Lauren Shaub, EX, SV, HN and the rest of the EX/SV/HN teams.  At the pool
corner it was Janna Sallade, Erin Flannery, Amy Huss, Debbie Huss and Jess
Geissler still cruising.  Then there was no one in sight down Old Mill Road
or visible through the trees across the creek.  Finally came EX, Jess
Johnson, EX, SV, EX, EX, Erin Crider, Caroline Simmons, Lauren Shaub, EX, HN,
and the rest of the EX, SV, HN teams.  There was never any doubt who the
winning team would be!
